Organically Grown CBD at Merrymeeting Bay Hemp Company

Merrymeeting Bay Hemp Company

MERRYMEETING BAY HEMP COMPANY independently creates and formulates small-batch, Full Spectrum CBDa, CBD, CBGa and CBG rich products from hemp grown on our USDA Certified Organic farm in Bowdoinham, Maine. Our phytonutrient-rich hemp is grown using agricultural practices and methods that allow us to care for and honor indigenous Maine land that has been sustainably and successfully farmed for generations. We are experienced farmers and passionate stewards of the land.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to provide effective, affordable, high-quality, full spectrum CBDa, CBD, CBGa and CBG products made from our own organically grown hemp. We employ 3rd party testing to ensure the safety, potency, and purity of our products. We are proud to be vertically integrated, meaning we are hands-on and involved in every aspect of production and quality control.

OUR FOUNDERS

Chas and Linda Gill have been longstanding members of the Maine farming community with over 30 years of experience and expertise. After successfully building a thriving cut flower and herb business, Kennebec Flower Farm, they shifted their farm’s focus to growing hemp and producing hemp-derived, cannabinoid-rich products. Since the beginning of their farming journey, they have been committed to Maine’s vibrant farmers’ market community and continue this connection with their hemp products and seedlings.

OUR FARM

Our season begins with hand sowing seeds selected for the highest-quality hemp cannabinoid plant genetics. Nurtured, greenhouse-raised seedlings are hand planted into soil specifically prepared to grow a thriving hemp crop. We hand-harvest our organically grown hemp at the peak of cannabinoid production. These plants are hung and allowed to cure slowly with controlled humidity levels before hand processing for extraction. We also create terpene rich ‘Live Resin’ products using extracted oil from freshly harvested, flash-frozen hemp.

OUR PRODUCTS

Our full spectrum products contain phytocannabinoid-rich ingredients, terpenes, and multiple plant compounds extracted directly from our USDA Certified Organic hemp. We enhance our quality control methods with 3rd party testing to ensure our products meet the highest standards. We produce a wide range of oral tinctures, edibles and topicals, for humans and pets!

From the Fertile Land of Maine

Our farm is located between the Kennebec and the Abbagadasset Rivers in the biologically diverse and agriculturally rich region known as Merrymeeting Bay. The farmland along the shores of the bay has some of the best soil in the state. Our hemp fields are situated above a naturally occurring underground aquifer which allows for 100% natural irrigation. This means our hemp plants always have access to fresh water. Our biodynamically active, moisture-laden soil is ideal for growing hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) rich in phytonutrients and phytocannabinoids.

Unparalleled Quality

ORGANICALLY FARMED * CONSCIOUSLY CULTIVATED

Merrymeeting Bay Hemp Company is rooted in the belief that effective, high-quality, cannabinoid-rich hemp oil products begin at the source.

As farmers, we know that the source is our own organically farmed hemp (Cannabis sativa L). We understand the vital relationship between healthy farm practices, healthy fertile soil, the health of harvested crops, and, ultimately, what we consume.

Our USDA Certified Organic hemp is grown in some of the best agricultural soil found in Maine. We employ small-scale, intensive farming methods to promote and protect our soil’s structure, fertility, and biological life.

We have consciously stayed small, allowing us to be ecologically and economically sound and create affordable products.
